The New Land Rover Discovery has continued its predecessor’s incredible Tow Car Awards winning streak, having been named as the overall winner for 2017.
It is an accolade the previous Discovery had been awarded nine times over the previous ten years, culminating in it being chosen as Tow Car of the Decade in 2016.
The New Discovery also won the 1,900kg+ category after demonstrating its sheer breadth of capability, not only in terms of all-round towing capability but also its general practicality, including interior luggage space, accuracy of manufacturer towing advice in the vehicle handbook and overall buying and ownership costs.
Following tests that included an emergency lane-change, 30-60 mph acceleration, a 30-0mph emergency stop, and a hill start on a 1-in-6 slope Jaguar F-PACE and XF win 1,700 – 1,899kg and 1,550 – 1,699kg weight classes respectively.
The British marque’s performance SUV which was recently voted both World Car of the Year and most beautiful car in the world, the F-PACE was named winner in the 1,700 – 1,899kg class, receiving great acclaim from the judges.
