Aaron McCracken has been announced as Jaguar Technician of the Year (2nd Place.)
After a series of testing every quarter, first time fixes, overall performance and a knowledge test Aaron reached the top five technicians nationally. He then went on to undertake a practical test which consisted of five vehicles with very complex faults. Aaron had to diagnose the fault within 45 minutes and was scored on his efficiency and organised approach to diagnosing each fault.
He recently attended the awards ceremony at Stapleford Park, which included a presentation dinner with celebrity host Hugh Dennis and radio DJ Colin Murray.
Aaron said, "It's an honour to receive this award, I found the competition very challenging at times which is what I love. I have been top of the league table all year and was excited to learn that I had made it to the top five technicians in the UK. Once I had completed the practical skills test I felt confident that I had done my best, I approached the test as if it was a normal day in my working environment at Roger Young. I am already looking forward to participating again next year."
Roger Young is very much a business success story. Based in Saltash, the company started from small beginnings is now one of the largest independently owned Jaguar Land Rover main retailers nationwide.
