Firstly, let me thank each of you for your understanding and support while we navigate this unprecedented situation.
The health and safety of our staff and customers is our primary concern. To achieve this we are of course complying fully with all current government guidelines and our dedicated team reviews and implements the latest advice on a daily basis.
Today I would like to inform you of the specific additional precautions we are taking to help minimise any risks associated with buying or servicing your vehicle with Roger Young.
Alcohol wipes and sanitisers are being provided for both staff and customers and their frequency of use is actively encouraged and monitored.
We have increased the level and frequency of cleaning on the premises, with particular emphasis on card machines, door handles and work stations.
All vehicle ‘touch points’ are sanitised both when receiving a customer’s car and before final handover. These include key fobs, interior/exterior handles, steering wheel, gear selector, handbrake, radio controls etc. This also extends to courtesy cars and demonstrators.
All technicians wear disposable gloves, which are replaced after every vehicle.
We endeavour to maintain a suitable minimum distance between staff and customers and would appreciate your understanding as we try to achieve this. You are, as always most welcome at Roger Young but sadly there will be no handshaking during the present time.
All staff are required to proactively monitor not only their own health but also those around them and inform the management immediately of any concerns. Thermometers have also been provided for staff use in all buildings.
We can now offer a ‘minimal contact’ visit where you can be met outside our main building in our servicing drive-through area by one member of staff, please let us know if you would like to take advantage of this.
If you would prefer not to visit us personally, we have also invested in increased capacity of our popular collection and delivery service, which during this time of uncertainty we have made free of charge. The same level of precautions will still be applied with our driver fully sanitising your vehicle upon return. Our Sales department also offer ‘JLR to you’ where we can provide all the same services you would receive at our showroom, at a time and place suitable to you.
Finally, these are without doubt the most troubling times I have experienced in the nearly forty years of building my business. However, I have confidence in my staff and the measures that we have put into place and I hope that after sharing them, you too will be able to continue to support us through this challenging time.
